Experience Appalachian tradition at the Foxfire Mountaineer Festival on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Rabun County Civic Center Pavilions, 201 W Savannah St, Clayton, GA.
Spend the day stepping back into mountain life: explore 58 folk and craft vendors, hop on a wagon ride, let the kids enjoy old-fashioned games, and cheer on lively competitions like sack races and the exciting crosscut saw contest.
Festival Highlights
- Folk & Craft Artisans – Shop handmade goods from 58 vendors
- Heritage Skill Demonstrations – Spinning, pottery, woodcarving, blacksmithing, quilting, chainsaw carving, and handmade instruments
- Wagon Rides for all ages
- Children’s Games: 3-Legged Races, Shiner’s Dash, Sack Races, and more
- Toy Making and fun family activities
- Clogging Contest – Cheer on lively Appalachian dance traditions
- Crosscut Saw Competition – A fan-favorite festival showdown
- Food Trucks: Blue Hound Barbecue, The Sunday Diner, and treats from Rabun County Band Boosters
- Live Music All Day – Enjoy mountain tunes and folk favorites
